Nainital is known as 'lake district of India' and it's situated on Uttarakhand. The word 'Nainital' means a nice meaning, "naini" means 'the eye' and "tal" means 'the lake'. The word "Naini" is derived fron the Goddes Naina. Most of the area in Nainital is hill. Temperature of summer is about 27°C and minimum temperature is 7°C. So much comfortable weather is here. The most attractiveness of this place is the scenic beauty.

Some beautiful places are here at Nainital. Most the beautiful is Nainital Lake. This is the nice place where you can find a vast lake with blueish water. This place is most popular to the visitor. This lake is in the middle of the town. You can take a paddle boat to ride in the water. Boating rates are depends on the tourist rush and pea seasons. Generally it takes Rs.50-60.

Bhim Tal is another beautiful place to visit. This place is 22kms far from Nainital. It is a beautiful island at the middle of the lake. This this lakes also offers boating and fishing facilities to the visitors. Bhim Tal is an island and it is an excusite gem in the middle of the lake.

Naina Peak is also known as Cheena or China Park by the locality. Naina Peak is the highest peak in Nainital. It is at the 2,615 meters above the sea level. This also is a trekking spot in Nainital. 

Naina Devi Temple is located on the northen shore of Naini Lake. The presiding deity of the temple is Maa Naina Devi. The Naina Devi Temple was destroyed by the landship of 1880 and later rebuilt.

Corbett National Park is India's finest and first national park and it is in the Nainital District. The park is reserved forest area by Govt.

St. John Church is located about a half a mile north-west of the Naina Devi Temple. The church was so named by Daniel Wislon, the Bishop of Kolkata. This church was established in 1844 on the north end of town i.e Mallital.

Raj Bhawan is the another place of attraction. Raj Bhawan is the official gue house of the governor of Uttarakhand. This house was built in 1899 by the architect F.W. Stevens. this was built for the summer residence of the governor of the North West Province. This complex has two-storied mansion with 113 rooms, it has a large gardens, a swimming pool and golf links. Overall the place is som charming and adds a superb majestic flavour to the visitors.

Tiffin Top is the one of the most beautiful place in Nainital. It is 4kms distance from the town. This is located on Aryapatta Hill and it's approx 2292 meters above the sea level. From this point you can view the awesome views of Himalayas and Nainital. History says, once a painter used to sit at this spot and paint. The painter was a British and his name was Dorothy Kellet. And this place is also known as Dorothy's Seat.

Hanuman Garhi is another spot where you can see the excellent beauty of sunset. This spot is about 3.5kms away from the bustop. This place is above the sea level of 1951 meters. This place is also famous for the religious view. Here you can see the Lord Hanuman besides Ram & Shiva. This temple was built in 1950. You can see another temples here like Shitala Devi Temple, Ashram of Lila Sah Bapu. You can go at Hanuman Garhi by taxi.

You can aslo see other various places in Nainital. Ramgarh- Famous for good health, apples trees. Mukteswar- Famous for the greenery and snow. Sat Tal- Conjunction of seven lakes at one place. Naukuchia Lake- Lake with bauty of lotus and relax. 

Maximum places of  Nainital is to visit by bus or taxi. You must visit this place with awesome beauty.
